Assistant Professor

Department: Marketing

海角社区, Northwestern University has one or more full-time positions open in the Marketing Department at the rank of Assistant Professor for academic year 2025-2026. The position requires being responsible for conducting advanced research in chosen areas of expertise and interest; supervising doctoral candidates; teaching basic and advanced courses in marketing at the Master鈥檚 and/or Doctoral Degree level; contributing to the research and teaching of other faculty members.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in marketing or related fields (e.g., economics, management, psychology, sociology, statistics, cognitive sciences, etc.) in hand or expected by employment start date. Selection criteria include potential for (or record of) superior research, adaptability, and creative interests in application to marketing problems, excellent teaching ability, and strong recommendations.

Applicants in the process of completing a doctoral degree should include an approved dissertation proposal or a research paper that represents progress in the dissertation. Assistant Professor

Department: Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences

Applications are invited for faculty positions in the Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences Department. The search is for an Assistant Professor position. The MEDS Department includes faculty in pure and applied microeconomic theory and in political economy. We invite applicants in economics and political science, or related fields. Primary criteria will be excellent recommendations, outstanding research potential, and superior teaching capabilities. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand or expected by employment start date. Successful applicants will be expected to do innovative research, participate in the school鈥檚 Ph.D. program, and teach required and elective MBA courses. Applicants should have strong theoretical and quantitative interests and abilities. The expected base pay range for this position is $206,000-$221,000. This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment, does not include summer salary, and is subject to negotiation. Research discretionary funding will also be provided. Summer salary, including from sponsored projects, may also be available. Assistant Professor

Department: Finance, Kellogg

Applications are invited for full-time, Assistant Professor position for the 2026/27 academic year (starting September 1, 2026).  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or a related discipline in hand or expected by employment start date.  Candidates should demonstrate strong research skills and an understanding of, and appreciation for a quality academic program at the M.B.A. and Ph.D. levels.
